The paintings within this body of work investigate and discuss the sensation of color. Horizon-divided compositions provide a foreground, an active entry point, into a field of expressive color. The monochromatic and limited palettes of each allow for the color to evoke an atmosphere permeating around us, creating a sense of time and presence where we stand alone in the landscape with our emotion.1
